UX Audit
Product Units: Product Build & Design, eCommerce
The Client:
La Monarca Bakery, inspired by traditional Mexican pastries, boasts locations from Huntington Park to Lincoln Heights, LA. Committed to all-natural ingredients without lard or artificial preservatives, they've earned accolades from LA Weekly, Sunset Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, and the LA Times.
The Challenge:
They were eager to identify and rectify inefficiencies in their website's user experience, with the overarching goal of boosting the conversion rate. Their primary challenge was to conduct a comprehensive UX Audit within a stringent 2-week (80-hour) window, aiming to not only pinpoint areas of improvement but also to secure the contract for a potential full-scale website revamp.
The Solution:
Our UX Analyst delved into data with Google Analytics, conducted in-depth UX research, and benchmarked against industry standards. We visualized user pathways with Journey Maps, applied Nielsen’s Heuristics for usability, assessed site performance via Lighthouse Metrics, and refined the design using Figma for an enhanced user experience.
Results:

The client:
Kalifano, a family business, specializes in offering a diverse range of high-end fossils, minerals, crystals, and recycled metal art. They also showcase a selection of original Native American jewelry through their Shopify store.

Simplifying Shopify App Deployment for Enhanced User Experience
Project: ReKeepit
Title: Simplifying UX for Seamless One-Click Installation
Summary:
Description:
The client:
ReKeepIt is a Shopify app that reduces returns and improves loyalty by offering an incentive for not returning a purchased product.
The Challenge:
Rekeepit came to us with the need to improve the user experience for those who wanted to install and use the app in their Shopify stores, but the process for that action was not simple enough. The goal was simple, but very important: to make it possible for stores to install the app in as few clicks as possible (a One-Click Installation) and a better in-app experience for managing app content.
The Solution:
One-Click Installation: we converted a process that involved steps such as filling out a form and contacting support, among others, into simply searching for the app in the Shopify directory, selecting the store where it should be installed, and a few seconds later starting to create the discounts needed to use it, as well as being able to preview the app interface in the Shopify customizer before publishing it in the store; all this while maintaining data security as required by Shopify.
In addition to this, we also worked on improving the design of the infrastructure to allow better performance of the app and to make it ready to be installed in stores with large amounts of data.
The results:
The app gained recognition from Shopify, solidifying its standing in the eCommerce ecosystem.
Negotiations with prominent U.S. merchants are underway, marking a significant impact in market presence.
The success story of ReKeepIt is set to be shared on a larger stage, with scheduled presentations at Shopify events in December '23 and January '24.
For the client, the benefits were tangible – from improved store adoption and a deeper understanding of their product to enriched technical knowledge, adaptability, scalability, and significantly enhanced app usability.

Customizable White Label Plugin for Seamless Woocommerce Integration
GeoPagos
GeoPagos & Woocommerce: Crafting a Tailored Payment Experience
Summary:
The task involved designing a customizable plugin to align with merchants branding. Addressing this, we developed a solution offering White Label plugins, enabling effortless customization of aesthetics and functionality.
The Client:
GeoPagos is the leading latin american company in the creation and development of digital payment platforms and networks, considering both the front (landing page, onboarding, app with different payment methods, dashboard, online store) and the backend (Back Office, Core Processor, and Proprietary gateway), focused on transforming the shopping experience.
The Challenge:
GeoPagos aimed to integrate with its partner stores, primarily utilizing the widely-used ecommerce platform, Woocommerce. The goal was not only to develop a plugin but also to design it in a manner that would allow merchants to personalize main elements such as color themes, logos, and texts, ensuring perfect alignment with their unique brand identity. Moreover, the ultimate objective was to facilitate a seamless integration process, providing an intuitive and enriching user experience for all parties involved.
The Solution:
We developed plugins that supported a White Label approach. This meant that merchants could effortlessly customize primary aesthetics to resonate with their brand identity. Furthermore, with Woocommerce being the platform of choice, the integration was meticulously crafted to ensure that the merchant's experience, from connecting to personalizing, was straightforward and efficient.
The Results:
Thanks to the bespoke plugins, merchants found it easier than ever to integrate GeoPagos with their stores on Woocommerce. Not only did this provide them with an enhanced digital payment solution, but it also allowed them to maintain brand consistency, improving their customers' trust and loyalty. With increased adaptability and user-friendly interfaces, there was a noticeable improvement in merchant satisfaction.

Do you know about @vsglatam? If you’re a gamer in Latam, I’m sure you have heard of them. 👉 VSG is a brand that creates high quality gaming products and hired GM2 to increase their conversion rates and do a full redesign on top of their existing Shopify site.
In this project the discovery and UX process was beautiful, and we deployed a super customized shopify ecommerce for multiple countries!
Once we took this project over, we gave VSG the best perspective possible through a deep UX research process. We did a full Discovery & audit on their previous site, configured and studied metrics and even interviewed their users. We designed a brand new website to implement all best practices, and custom coded a bespoke purchase process to optimize the entire shopping experience of their users:
✅We lowered their load times and web performance
✅Designed a seamless product customization feature to simplify the purchase process
✅Removed distractions to increase their conversion rate
✅Re-categorized products to generate a much more agile purchase flow
✅Proposed a global control mechanism to manage each different store on each country
✅Focused efforts on looking for usability problems
✅Setted up new KPIS, such as the conversion rate by product category
And then, as the client started to see the results of our work he delegated on us:
🚀Reworking all the sites on all countries and currencies
🚀Custom development of landing pages for very specific products
🚀Design the interfaces of a desktop an app for managing the drivers and configure the features of each product.
