La Monarca

A 2-week UX Audit led to strategic adjustments, enhancing both website UX and boosting conversion rates

The Client

La Monarca Bakery, inspired by traditional Mexican pastries, boasts locations from Huntington Park to Lincoln Heights, LA. Committed to all-natural ingredients without lard or artificial preservatives, they've earned accolades from LA Weekly, Sunset Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, and the LA Times.

The Challenge

They were eager to identify and rectify inefficiencies in their website's user experience, with the overarching goal of boosting the conversion rate. Their primary challenge was to conduct a comprehensive UX Audit within a stringent 2-week (80-hour) window, aiming to not only pinpoint areas of improvement but also to secure the contract for a potential full-scale website revamp.

The Solution

Our UX Analyst delved into data with Google Analytics, conducted in-depth UX research, and benchmarked against industry standards. We visualized user pathways with Journey Maps, applied Nielsen’s Heuristics for usability, assessed site performance via Lighthouse Metrics, and refined the design using Figma for an enhanced user experience.

The Results

Our client gained a clear understanding of the existing bottlenecks on their website, and, contrary to initial expectations, realized that a complete website overhaul wasn't necessary. Instead, they could achieve optimal Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) by simply refining certain aspects of their current site based on our findings.

Key performance indicators showcased the project's success, with a notable Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 9/10, indicating high customer satisfaction and loyalty.
